John Lester, a senior at Amador Valley High in California and a Stanford signee, finished fourth in his section of the men's 800 meters in 1;49.77 at the Sound Running Track Meet in Irvine, Calif. Lester elevated to the No. 2 prep performer in the country this season, trailing only Hobbs Kessler of Ann Arbor Skyline in Michigan at 1;49.67.
