Josette Norris, representing Reebok Boston Track Club, finished second in the elite section of the women's 5,000 meters in a lifetime-best 14:51.42 at the Sound Running Track Meet in Irvine, Calif. Norris secured the Olympic standard, improving more than 27 seconds since her last 5,000 effort Feb. 27 at the Trials of Miles Austin Qualifier in Texas.
