Carley Thomas, a sophomore at Washington representing Australia, finished fifth in her section of the women's 800 meters in a season-best 2:03.58 at the Sound Running Track Meet at JSerra High in San Juan Capistrano, Calif. It marked the fastest outdoor time for Thomas during her Washington career and her first time running under 2:04 on any surface since 2020.
